Bose Audio-AR: Get into the future now with this fantastic gadget
Augmented reality is perhaps the most promising technology, the use of which can be used literally in all spheres. Various manufacturers have long been involved in the race for the development of this technology. Recently, Bose announced that it also intends to join the game. But in this case, it will not be about the video, because Bose has practically no experience in this. Instead, the American company offers its own development in the field of sound, and in this niche, it does not take experience.
A representative of Bose says that their latest development is capable of transmitting powerful and clear sound, and the device itself is so small that it can be integrated into portable gadgets (headphones, glasses, helmets, etc.) without problems.
A senior representative of the company said that their development “complements the sounds of your familiar surroundings.” During the tour, for example, you can simulate the sounds of historical events, reproduce the speech of a great person, etc. The device will also translate for you a foreign text, or provide a history of a work of art that you are currently admiring in the museum. In addition, the system can also be used as a voice navigator.
In this case, the platform does not provide for the presence of a camera. Instead, it is proposed to use a variety of sensors to track the movements of the head in conjunction with GPS. The received data will be transferred to the corresponding application on the smartphone, which will offer the user suitable audio content. The company has already developed and demonstrated a prototype of glasses with built-in Bose AR, but they will be available only for developers, and by the summer it is supposed to announce the updated version of the gadget.
