Huami Amazfit GTR smartwatch with AMOLED display, GPS, NFC and battery of 24 days: Overview
Huami has expanded the line of smartwatches of the Amazfit series, announcing the Huami Amazfit GTR smartwatch device. This model is aimed at the premium segment, which is not quite typical for Huami.
The Huami Amazfit GTR smartwatch has two versions, which differ in size. In one case, a 42-mm display is used (1.2-inch diagonal, resolution 390×390 pixels). In the second case, a larger 47-mm display is used (1.39-inch diagonal, resolution 354×354 pixels). In both cases, the AMOLED panel is used with a pixel density of 326 PPI and a protective glass Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Other characteristics of the models are almost identical. They integrate a 6-axis accelerometer, a 3-axis geomagnetic sensor, a pressure sensor, and a BioTracker PPG bioptical sensor. The latter serves for advanced heart rate monitoring. Also available are GPS navigation modules and GLONASS. Traditionally, watches are able to track the number of steps taken, calories burned, distance traveled. In addition, the device can take into account sports activities within 12 different sports modes, covering a wide range of activities from swimming to skiing. New smartwatches from Huami also are waterproof and can be immersed to a depth of 50 meters. The device is equipped with Bluetooth 5.0 LE and NFC wireless communication modules.
The compact version contains a battery with a capacity of 195 mAh, which provides up to 12 days of battery life and up to 34 days of work when using the basic clock mode. The weight of this model is 25.5 g, and the dimensions are 42.6 × 42.6 × 9.2 mm. At the same time, the 47 mm version carries 410 mAh battery. In this case, up to 24 days of battery life in standard mode and up to 74 days in the base mode. This model has dimensions of 47.2 × 47.2 × 10.75 mm, and the weight around: 36 g in aluminum alloy model, 40 g – titanium, and 48 g – stainless steel model.
The Huami Amazfit GTR smartwatch can be used in conjunction with smartphones running Android 5.0 or iOS 10.0 or later operating systems. The device is already available for order in China at a price of $116 for the standard 42-mm model. The 42 mm version of the Swarovski Crystal Limited Edition is priced at $145.
The price of the 47mm model is the same $ 145 for the aluminum or steel version. The limited-edition Iron Man Special Edition in a titanium case costs $203.
