Microsoft Surface Book 2 with Intel 8th Core generation is available now

Surface Book 2 is the second generation of the Microsoft premium ultrabooks. A convertible and 2 in 1 that is now available at Microsoft Store.

 

Surface Book 2 is the “most powerful Surface” of the entire Microsoft hardware line. The biggest changes come from the internal hardware, where the presence of the eighth generation of Intel Core processors stands out, enhanced with dedicated NVIDIA graphics GTX 1050 and 1060 series with support for VR.

It can be equipped up to 16 Gbytes of RAM and solid-state drives of up to 1 Tbyte for storage. Among its connectivity, the USB Type-C ports with support for Thunderbolt 3 stand out.

 

Technical specifications Surface Book 2 includes a screen of Multitouch 13.5 and 15-inch Pixel Sense with respective native resolutions of 3000 x 2000 pixels and 3240 x 2160 pixels for 3: 2 formats.

 

The highlight of these new devices from Microsoft is the processors; there are two options available that are Intel Core i5-7300U or Intel Core i7-8650U. For graphics, NVIDIA GTX 1050 in 13″ and GTX 1060 in 15″ model are used.

 

You will also get options for RAM memory, 8 GB or 16 GB LPDDR3 at 1866 Mhz. For storage, there will be 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB PCIe SSD. Dimensions and weight 13.5″ are 312.0 x 232.00 x 15.00-23.00 mm, 1534 grams with keyboard respectively, and for 15″ 343.00 x 251.00 x 15.00-23.00 mm, 1905 grams respectively. Surface Book 2 is marketed in two variants according to screen sizes of 13 and 15 inches. Maintains the magnesium chassis and has improved the hinges compared to the original offering both the convertible mode (four modes of use from tablet to ultrabook) and the 2-in-1 mode detachable by separating the tablet from the keyboard.

 

With Windows 10 Pro 64-bit pre-installed and 30-day Office 365 trial, the new Surface comes with a silver-colored finish. The 13-inch version is already available in the Microsoft Store with a sales price of 2150 USD, and the 15-inch model will be available on April 6 for 3000 USD.
